Principal Designer Services

Construction Design & Management Regulations

In high-risk environments like construction, demolition, and industrial projects, managing health and safety must begin long before anyone steps onto the site. Under the CDM Regulations, appointing a competent Principal Designer is a legal requirement for any project involving more than one contractor.

At RMS, we step into this critical role to oversee the pre-construction phase. We ensure that potential risks are designed out early, communication flows seamlessly, and your project remains fully compliant from day one.

Legal Peace of Mind

Why Appoint RMS as Your Principal Designer?

Commercial clients have strict duties under CDM. Failing to appoint a Principal Designer when required means the client legally inherits those liabilities themselves. Appointing RMS ensures your legal duties are fully discharged.
